Aside from nightly rounds and rotations, Souji had received a message from Teddie telling him something that he had never thought would come to him out of the blue: information about what was happening. It was of little surprise that it was linked, somehow, to Shadows and the Midnight Channel, but in what way? Well, he supposed that was the surprise part.

As any good leader would, Souji rounded up the group from Inaba, and telling them what Teddie had told him, headed in the direction of North. He remains quiet as he approach the building-but he can see someone else standing with Teddie in the distance.

Moving close to the front of the pack, Yosuke kept his knives out as they shuffled along the deserted streets. Despite previous assurances by Teddie that the glasses did nothing, he stubbornly kept them perched on the bridge of his nose - if nothing else, he found the orange plastic functioned as passable blinders against the assorted horrors lurking in his peripheral vision.

The sudden reminder unwittingly drew his gaze to the right, where in the daylight a small gutter carried water down the hillside. Under normal circumstances it was juat a gutter: insignificant, quaint, pastoral. Right now, it looked like a scene out of the texas chainsaw massaccre. Swallowing hard, Yosuke turned the knife in his right hand until the blade faced outwards, and quickened his pace to draw a little closer to Souji, muttering.

"Don't suppose they could've met us somewhere indoors, huh?"

Chie would have been really creeped out by their surroundings if she hadn't been so worried about Yukiko. As it is, she bounced from foot to foot, trying to follow Souji's lead rather than running ahead... at least, until they finally caught sight of Teddie and the boy he was standing with.

Another couple of bounces, and she just couldn't take it any more -- she grabbed Souji's hand and Yosuke's sleeve and started to drag them forward faster. Don't they understand they have to get this conversation over with as quick as possible so they can get back to searching?

"Come on, guys!"
