I still maintain that the events of my life are too random and nonsensical to have been a story.

Maybe, but then consciousness of your life leaked into someone else's universe and they thought - hey, that's a good story.

I can't say much for their taste, even if I were to concede that was the case.

And if I was fictional, then my primary reaction would be that I have a grudge to settle with my creator.
