You've got big orchestras, mate

DONEThat's correct. I finished my cube program. I average 44 moves, which is significantly under par for the aim of ~50 moves I was pursuing. Does this mean I'm "finished" as in I'm not gonna touch it again? Certainly not. There is definitely room for improvements ( Read more... )

The hair, too.

Yes, I've been flying below radar for a while, only frequenting my habit spots like PhilSoc, Java Lounge, and Hollywood Video. The end of the semester coincides with the end of a lot of other things for me. I've been trying to tie up my loose ends of which I have many.

Rhett has seen my apartment. If I don't have the time to keep that in shape, than surely you must admit I've been pretty busy.

I wish I could point a finger at a date on the calendar and say "I'm free right then, so we must hang out." I've had about 100 things to talk to you guys about but haven't had the chance. The only people I've seen regularly this semester are those people who coincide with commitments like work, class, PhilSoc, and Hollywood Video (not so much a commitment as it is an addiction). Otherwise, I've been either at home or at Java Lounge toiling away at my cube program. It's a new computer, and I've already began wearing the letters off the keyboard.

Thankfully, the cube program is only a bit of a hobby-like preoccupation in some sort of secondary foreground of my attention, if that makes any sense. I've even missed chances to ask out women that I've learned (after the fact) were sorta checking me out.

But we gotta get something going because I'm all-excuses, and that's bullshit. So what I propose is that we DO point at the calendar and set a date. My grad school apps will be off and in the mail by this Tuesday, which is the 7th. After that, I think I've got more than a few open days available to me before my last final exam as an undergraduate on the 16th.

The 15th and 16th and 17th and 18th and 19th are going to be quite thick for me, unfortunately. The 15th, I'll be studying for that exam. The 16th is the exam, and I'm pseudo planning on seeing Allyson (if possible) that night. That's a long story that I would like to see you guys about and discuss. The 17th, my parents get here, and it's also my last day at work. The 18th, is when I gruaduate and like I said, my folks are going to be in town so I don't have a clue how that's going to work. And on the 19th, I fly for Alaska where I'll be until the 2nd of January.

So anytime you guys are free between the 7th and the 15th, I'm down for whatever. Preferably a full evening of movies, cats, and talking at which point I can run some things by you that have been bugging me, check up and see what's new and exciting with you, as well as maybe sample some of my infused tequila (attempt #2).

But right now, I have to fly because I've been lollygagging in my apartment for about an hour and I've got more than a few things to sort out for tonight. I'm going to edit a friend's Jesus paper at 5pm. PhilSoc at 7pm, to be followed by the editing of the rest of her paper. Then I go home to finally do three things: write my personal statement, draw up my curriculum vitae, and send them both off to Dr. Witmer and Dr. Ray who want them as a basis of attack as they both have been kind enough to agree to give me letters of rec for graduate school. Secondly, once that is finished, I'm going to bulldoze my way through my apartment because, as Rhett can tell you, this place looks like a demilitarized zone. And it's only gotten worse since he's seen it.

I'm doing it again. I need to leave quite quick or else I'm going to be hard-pressed for time later.
