Posted here and here - read and review! (if you're so inclined)

Today's my last full day in KC for a few days at least.  I've been picking up some hours here and there since this is the month of epic money-dropping, and I go into the car wash at noon today.  Got a load of laundry currently in the dryer, so I'm hoping I might get a few things packed before going to work, otherwise I'll do it all this evening when I'm home.  My family's gifts are already wrapped, and my goal is to just have things situated tonight where in the morning I can basically get up, get dressed, and just get going.  We'll see yet just how that follows through, haha.

Talked to Mom a little bit when I got home this morning--she's got pneumonia again like last year, and she already predicts she'll be hurting real bad come Christmas Day.  I wanna tell her, Well yeah, with a mindset--set--like that already, but there's no point lecturing optimism to someone who enjoys, consciously or no, being sick *eyeroll*  I will say however, that folks like her have piqued an interest in me to learn more about the Christian Scientist movement, though they probably wouldn't be flattered if I shared that.

I haven't slept in my own bed the past four nights!  I've been alternating between the futon and the loveseat at my friend's studio.  I had been crashing there once in a while, then maybe once a week that past couple of weeks, because we'd be up late drinking/smoking/watching movies and I didn't really feel like going back out to my car in the cold >.<  Then her brother left rehab last weekend--grand epic night that was, by the way--and I figured I'd probably stop in light of spatial conditions; but then we three have sort of formed our own little familial triad, and I've spent more time there than my own house all week, haha.  It's going to make this upcoming week where I'll be out of town for most of it a little odd, I'm sure...

Anyway, the noon hour approaches in an hour; I'm gonna scramble some eggs and check on my laundry.  Anyone reading this, have a good day!
