So where to begin, it's definitely been awhile since i've last posted. The biggest thing of course being my recent engagement to the wonderful chennpug. But aside from that, I'm back in school, and I'm actually being successful at balancing my studies, work, and requisite attention to Chenn, along with all the other fun things I like to do. It's so weird being responsible, or at least something close to it.
Regardless, it seemed an appropriate time for me to post another sickeningly sweet message regarding my inexplicable happiness and excitement.
Yay!
Okay, so there are some other things that I would like to discuss that perhaps are not ridiculously cutesy. The Shadowrun game I've been playing with has gone belly up, as have most of the games with the current group. I fear the group is simply too large to promote a long running serious game such as Shadowrun. Gamer's ADD is the term we've given it, and I admit that I am at least a little guilty of it myself, but ultimately I don't think it would be nearly as much of an issue if the group were smaller. Instead we're now trying out more light-hearted and fun things. I'm gonna be prepping a fantastic one shot I picked up the Guard Tower called "Sqirrel Attack! Operation get Mr. Jones' Nuts." Perhaps there will also be some Paranoia, or some other such ridiculousness. We also played an excellent caveman game last night. I wish I knew the name of it, as I'd like to find out more about it, perhaps create rules for multiple tribes or something.
But anyways, I'm considering setting up an additional game night. I have some game ideas that I would be willing to try putting together, but I don't think they'd hold up well in a large group environment. So ideally, I'm looking for 3-5 players who are interested in playing something in depth and perhaps a bit more serious than usual. I could do it on a Friday or Saturday, but I'm also considering Wednesday, as I have a low course load on Thursday and in the past I've often done Weekday games with reasonable success. I'm not really sure though, I'll just have to see.
So there's my yearly report. Now I must be off to get a rocking chair.
gaming,
