Ever so sweet

It's a dark and rainy day in kenya. i slipped and slid through the muddy slums this morning on my way to a nursery school. My friend Beth and I sang some songs and told a story to a bunch of adorable nursery school kids. Then they sang us some songs and told us stories about cats and dogs and rats. aahh, so cute! This past weekend we went to a beautiful village in the mountains. there was hot running water! on sunday we went down into the great rift valley. we bounced and bumped for two hours on insane roads past herds of zebras and a dead donkey until we arrived at a little church in the middle of the valley. i met some Maasai women with streched ears and they laughed at my stretched ears and we had a good ole' time. we also spent time at a hospital and a home for crippled children. i met a charming little girl with spinabifida(sp?) and prayed that she would one day be able to walk.
I can't believe i only have one more month here. it feels like i just got here. i hope i get to ride an ostrich before i leave.
