where there is a flame, someone's bound to get burned
one day, you will wake up and realise that you've broken through; broken the chains that kept you captive for so long. you will realise that you never needed anyone, that happiness comes from within. and if you cannot find contentment from within, you cannot find contentment from without. because life is a rollercoaster, people come and people go - people are not perfect, they'll make you smile and hurt you, all in the span of a lifetime. but if you're solid within, you will not falter. like the tree whose trunk and roots hold it steady and firm - grow deep before you branch out.
look inside for answers, question yourself, and requestion yourself. do not get distracted by all the shiny things dangling in front of you. it takes time for a plant to flower, the roots have to grow deep, the trunk has to be strong - it has to be able to handle the weight of carrying a gorgeous flower, and then a delicious juicy fruit. we are like trees. we need to be strong, secure, and know what we stand for - else we might end up falling for anything, and everything.
