"you are one of those unique individuals"
Today I had my audition for the month-long Governor's School Summer Program and-WOW. I was terribly nervous, more than I have ever been in my entire life. So I called Campbell. We did exercises and gave me one of his famous talks, ya know? The whole cheese fest. So then I felt soo much better, because I was crying and hadn't really prepared for my piece.
So I walked in there...and shit. All nervousness was gone. I was at home and did the so called "damn thing." They really liked my piece. I think they were impressed with my interview. I was impressed. I was really cheesy, but I think they got an idea of who I really am.
After, all 3 of the theater people did their monologue we had to do impromptu. So I thought I SUCKED hardcore at that, but shit I OWNED. The two other people had no energy no nothing. Our scenario was the guy was having an affair with me, and I surprised him in the airport, where he was meeting his wife. Well, when I walked on the stage, I pinched the guy's butt. haha! The judges laughed!! OKay and that was pretty much that. Then, the wife/husband were 80 then I was the 18. That provided a few viagra jokes,they laughed again. THE next scene was I was the mother dropping off my 2 kids. They kept fussing so I punished them by saying "okay that's it---Granny Panty shopping it is." hahah the one judge couldn't stop laughing and said to STOP. sO THEN IT WAS OVER. HE said he had never heard of that one before and that he might have to use that for punishment on his grandkids!
Needless to say, I feel really good. I don't find out if I got in until mid April. So now I just wait. Honestly, I hope I get in, but if not, I really pleased and know that I gave it my all. <3
