So now that 2009 is over and we've done many a dress-up moment, what shall we do in 2010? What ideas do you have? Bring them forth!

events, those who mourn, ideas

Some ideas to start the flow of oxygen:

1) Sherlock Holmes gathering

2) Alice in Wonderland gathering

3) Dorian Grey gathering

Pick one. Or pick them all :)

I second all of your ideas, but the Sherlock Holmes especially since the movie is being released Christmas Day.

Apocalyptic Masquerade?

We can dig up fresh corpses and wear the skins and dance around in the woods...?

Yay for skin-fun.

I strongly support an Alice in Wonderland day.
That is, if I can pull the right strings and come.
Other ideas:

Ghost picnic in the graveyard (dress how you interperate ghosts to appear)

Random Storybook day. (go all out in the fairy tale-ness)

Random Storybook idea sounds fabulous!!! I love that!!

And the Alice in Wonderland idea has been floating in my head for some time..

I am also thinking of doing Human Chess, if I could figure out how and where to do it (inspired by Alice in Wonderland)

And look for something this winter involving the Terra Cotta soldiers here in DC

I'm remembering a place that I think would be ideal for human chess, but I can't remember where it is, exactly. It's got a halfmoon shaped fountain, with a map of the world done in gold on black concrete. Somewhere in DC with a statue of a sailor.

You've got me excited for the Wonderland day. Oh, bother.
