Rantings from the bonfire
Glad Allhelgonaafton!
A week early of course, but better too early than too late
Must I dare say that Jack and his kingdom of pumpkins made my weekend very special, topped with very excellent friends and the realization of how undeservedably blessed this wretched creature happens to be..
THURSDAY:
I took a night off from alchemy_dc to see one of my favorite movies, A Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D! Met dreammuse there where we had a rack of free seats between us (but nobody willing or able to join us *sniff*).. We saw urgote, Sarah and Amy leaving as they went to the 7pm show, while we hung out with djsolaries and Eric and kat928. Jack and Sally never looked cooler!!! Reminded me all over again how that kid, who got a severed head for Christmas and cried profusely, could have easily given it to ME!
FRIDAY:
Work work work day off, hit the gym and that was it..
SATURDAY:
Ah, getting up at the crack of noon.. the way it should be.. had plenty of coding to do unfortunately, but between that and listening to Sirenia, Extol and Apocalyptica (ahh, bands from the Blessed Lands), I was a happy coding camper..
Then I shed myself of code and raced to dcmidnight
Ahh much better.. and very GAWTH that night as I celebrated the return of belladonnas_web! YAY! Along with her lovely courtiers Rachel, verlise and the very lovely sameoldtune [snicker].. And also great to see sadearthmonkie, rainingdays and her lovely Halloween treats, punksteve and kit257, binarycognition at his chess court and to support djphae, and ah myruiner is spinning wonderful things.. oh and hey great job cheetahdave as well! And also saw Marti, groaninggirl, the constant reminder that I need to drive down to Occoquan to get my replacement spikes (yeah Silver Dragon was vending), and Grattis på födelsedagen till princeps1978 (you naughty little pretty boi you).. also brief but cool appearance by oldsmobile_mike as well.. the biggest surprise of the night was that dj_vlad returns to dcmidnight for the first time in 3 years! Bout bloody time!
SUNDAY:
Glad that my Gang decided to go to church at the same time as I did else sitting all gawwwthed up with 3,000 shiny-happy people would have resulted in [censored due to explicit content].. but after all of us grabbing food to devour we had out to dreammuse's pumpkin carving party, which was a total BLAST!! cerberus777, urgote and Sarah, David and Marian, Amy, normal_dan and this very normal-looking couple that I never knew were there, along with our first time meeting blacklacewings and Andy, but the nice surprise was to also see belladonnas_web (2 days in a row! SQUEEE!!!) and Rachel! We got to see a very awesome slide show of Gothic Dreams and those_who_mourn events, way too many pics of me (ick) and all the awesome memories like Freak Day at the Aquarium, Freak Day Mini-Golf, Last alchemy_dc at Nation, etc. That totally made my night, along with successfully carving a pumpkin (pics forthcoming) and being able to converse with people while watching the slide show and Army of Darkness at the same time (ADD does have its advantages).. oh and oldsmobile_mike showed up for a few minutes, of course very late (he's more gawwth than all of you) and left because he's such a good egg (though verlise will kill you if she finds out why, so you better be nice to me muahahahaha)
