throw away your maps

It's so hard to start packing. Most of us have gone, people leave at irregular intervals in the background. I know it's the same old same old, but I swear more this time than ever, we just got here. And there's so much more finality. I will see some of these friends again, but never in Prague. I may never see the city again, never the cobblestones, never the orange rooftops.

Yesterday, the last day of the program, I walked by a wedding getting lightly rained on; I think that was for me. Today, tomorrow, until I leave, feel like such a faceless period of transition. Yesterday is over, definitely, and in a few days it all will be. But meanwhile I'm just sitting around, wrapping up a loose end every so often while the city dissolves into photographs.
