If you've been through NYC's subways you know we have musicians and street entertainers in the hallways and concourses. They actually even hold a competition each year to try and keep the quality up and the quantity down. If you qualify, you get an official banner to hang behind you while performing at the best locations. One of the lesser TV stations followed this in a reality TV show. If you don't have a banner, the cops may hassle you and tell you to move along. I'm no fan of traditional opera, but I am of woofy tattooed bears. So even though I was hurrying on my way to poker & cigars at Nayland's last night, this guy stopped me in my tracks. I put $2 in the tip bucket first to assauge any guilt over my objectification.
