When I was growing up my Mom had a plastic box full of old buttons that she used when she made clothes or to replace lost ones. Back when moms actually did things like that. I could play with that box of buttons for hours, sorting, matching, arranging. I also had a lot of fun with pieces of cardboard, making my own board games. Funny how little it took when we were young to amuse ourselves.
