Tonight I tried another Paleo recipe from paleodietlifestyle.com, but I'm going to warn you, if you don't like mushrooms, don't even bother reading any further. The good news is though, this can be modified to be vegan friendly.
You should! Whenever Skorzy doesn't like something I make it anyways and I just eat it XD It actually makes not TOO much so you could realistically eat it over the course of a week or two.
Yeah, I make a lot of stuff that Trinsic doesn't like and just keep it for myself ;) Like my little diet quiches which has spinach in it, or breakfast casseroles and stuff.
I think tomorrow, I'll enter this recipe into my calorie calculator to see how much calories it would be per serving... if it's not bad per serving, I'll get Trinsic to pick up the ingredients for me then :) I'm always looking for new recipes to try, especially sometimes I get a little bored of having salads for lunches all the time - it's nice to have a change for once ;)
Hopefully it works well with your diet. I stopped counting calories because it wasn't working for me, but I imagine with the butter and cream those are going to be the most "yikes" parts. Mushrooms are practically nothing.
Lessee....three of us ate about a cup and a half, and there's about 2 servings left over. Sorry for so vague XD But I hope that measurement helps!
Ok, I put it through the calorie calculator and entered 5 servings for it. It came up as 210 calories per serving, which actually isn't bad :)
There's not much I could do about the heavy cream (mmmm, heavy cream!) but Land o Lakes is making a type of butter now that's half the calories as regular salted butter. I haven't tried it yet, but since this recipe is low calorie for me, I'm not going to bother with the low-calorie butter this time ;)
Hmmm, yes, I'm going to add those ingredients to the grocery list and see how that goes =D
OMG, I'm going to need to make this sometime! I LOVE mushrooms! And this just looks sooooo heavenly!
And even better, since the hubby doesn't like mushrooms, it'd all be for ME! =D

Do you know how many servings this makes?
