"Yeah, you should." Valen knocks a little belatedly on the doorframe before entering the rest of the way and letting the door close behind him. He goes to sit by the bed. "How're you feeling?"
Oh, well, Valen just got a smile out of Locke. "A little less half-dead than I was?" Then, a little more seriously, "In all honesty, though, bored out of my mind."
"Good," he says with a relieved grin. "That happens when you're not allowed to get out of bed," he points out. "And there's not much that can be done about that until you're closer to being in one piece."
"Not a whole lot," he admits. "I've talked with Anita a bit, though. She's a good person, I like her." She worries about him, which is something he's still surprised about.
"She was worried abotu me after the duel, as well," he says, amused. "That I didn't really understand." He's touched though, he genuinely likes her now that they've had a chance to chat and in his opinion there have never been a whole lot of people who really gave a damn what happened to him.
