ANOTP: Locke/Anita

May 18, 2008 16:29

Locke is currently napping. Though not in the main room - he's not about to do that again anytime soon. No, he's currently outside and in a tree, sprawled on a limb rather like a leopard, his sleeping face settled in a frown. The dreams he dreams are not happy ones, even in the brightness of daylight.

Anita, restless as she is wont to be, stalks about. She's actually please to see Tavrin, so she pops by with a cheeky grin, and sits next to him once she's made the assent.

If he falls, she'll catch him. For now, she's just watching.

Locke wakes up the moment she touches the tree and jolts to his feet in a moment, ready to jump and hit the ground running if necessary. It isn't. He breathes a sigh and sits back down again. "Gods - give a man a little warning, wouldn't you?" He mutters.

"Aaaaaw," she grins - very cheeky. "I woke up the pretty sleeper. Too bad. You were making a pretty picture up there."

Locke gives her a scowl. "Yeah, right. Sure."

She shrugs. "Well, they ain't getting around again, so might as well take'm when they come, Tavrin."

"I just said something nice. Be well behaved and say thank you for the compliment, you ass."

Locke rolls his eyes. "Sure. Thanks." He gives her a look. "If that's a compliment from you, I don't know that I'll look forward to them. Sorry," he adds dryly.

"You're very welcome, it was an absolute pleasure, dear Sir," she says - she would mock-curtsy if she had a skirt, or the inclination for it, but she does not.

"Seriously, that was a lovely sight. I'm just not a rhyming fop, alright?"

He gives her a little smile. "Just the last person who told me I was pretty subsequently tied me to a chair and cut my hair. And redressed me."

She looks at him evenly. "Tavrin. Look at me."

Seriously, Tavrin, does she look like she might do such a thing?

Locke looks at her. Well, no. But. He offers her a smile to show he's teasing. "Just a scarring experience."

"Here's a Kleenex," she replies, but she doesn't hand him a tissue. "I got scarred too, I'm not running around insulting people." She's smiling back.

Actually, she is. But that's just her being a hypocrite, as usual.

He sits up, swinging his feet absently. "Anyway, that's why I'm up here. Long and short of it. What about you?"

"Up here in the tree?" she smirks. "I was enjoying the view."

Locke rolls his eyes. "Which one?" He asks, facetiously.
