Hopeful. I'm hopeful that everything works out for a friend o' mine during what promises to be a very stressful and hard week.. Here's hoping that life will treat her well and fairly...
Though I guess just sending out those well wishes sorta mean I just cursed her.. what with Murphys Law and what not.... But I MEAN WELL!
Today... I didn't get much done but the end of what needs to be done before the in-laws get back is in sight!
I stacked all the boxes up in a corner so they are out of my way... Pushed all the half assed packed boxes of books into my room so I can go through and sort out what gets donated, what gets burned and what gets kept... I've got the movies.. But I'm pretty sure I'll leave those half ass packed so my husband can go through them, I've got all the dishes washed, and practiced a bit of plumbing to clean the one sink pipe (FOOD DOES NOT GO DOWN THE SIDE WITHOUT THE GRINDING THINGY!) and I've cooked two meals ahead of time so Dinner for tonight and lunch for tomorrow is taken care of! WOOTY!
I -also- (*poses*) managed to drag three rambunctious boys through a high end store so I could buy my sweet little baby cousin (OKAY! SHE IS 11!!! But she will ALWAYS be that sweet lil six year old that would follow me EVERYWHERE and would cling to my skirts and cry 'cause she didn't want to go home with her mum or would ask me to sing her to sleep after her mum put her to sleep...) Anywho... I bought her an adorable lil Boho inspired outfit... A flowy skirt with a cute design in blue green brown and white and a shirt to match... Now! The skirt can be worn as a dress, or a skirt. WOOT! And there's a jean vest thingy to go with it all to give it a country flare if she chooses. I think it'll look good for whatever she wants. Going shopping or to church on sundays or at her homeschool meetings.. So on so forth. It's even a nice easy to clean material so I bet she could go puttering in the garden with her mum and be fine~
I also plan on giving her the Turquoise necklace I was given when *I* turned twelve... Supposedly the stone is good for protection if given to you by someone else. Well... It was given to my from my mum (By my dad of course since Mum died loooong before then) and now I'll give it to her since I'll never have a daughter of my own.
Double bonus... The necklace will look GORGEOUS with the dress~ (-applauds self and pats own back-)
The only thing I got her that I really do NOT approve of is the coloured nailpolishes... IN MY DAY A GIRL DIDNT WEAR MAKEUP AND CRAP TILL SHE TURNED SIXTEEN DANGIT!
-_-
My baby is growing up! -wails-
Anywho... Her birthday is this friday.. So I'm leaving Thursday to go see her and give her her presents early...
I hope she likes
it...
