Jeremiah
The Lord is really teaching me from Jeremiah. He was such a reluctant but persistent man of God. He got made fun of left and right and suffered great persecution because of his message.
The book really shows how powerful God is when it comes to our wills. He has the power to break us down and worship Him. His grace is irresistable, and his Word is an untamable fire which has the power to melt the coldest heart into the most Holy Spirit-driven machine.
I pray that the gospel of Christ will not be held within our hearts and that we recognize that it is the most powerful thing here on earth.
"But if I say, "I will not remember Him
Or speak anymore in His name,"
Then in my heart it becomes like a burning fire
Shut up in my bones;
And I am weary of holding it in,
And I cannot endure it..." (Jeremiah 20:9)
