[Sims] Adventures in Neverglade - I Accept Your Challenge
Once again, the high level of autonomy I give my sims caught me off guard. I did not expect Jamison to pounce Mikale and knock him up with no warm-up.
Again.
You'd think he was the family oriented one.
Mikale and Ianto have the worst morning sickness of any of my sims. Jamison would throw up at night, Blackfeather would only throw up at work, Christopher tends to totally ignore his morning sickness or only throw up at night, but Ianto and Mikale always live in the bathroom for a few days.
Mikale spent 4 days suffering morning, noon, and night sickness, then spun into maternity while Jamison was putting the kittens* to bed.
Don't even pretend to be surprised, Jamison. I heard you laughing.
Mikale spent most of his pregnancy sunning himself and writing romance novels.
Jamison determined they were having a girl. I'm blaming Mikale if she comes out flirty.
Andrew and Bryce were still too young to notice anything might be out of the ordinary. Bryce still loves hisall toys.
Andrew also loves toys. Um... in his own special way.
Rabid baby is rabid?
As punishment for catching me off guard, again, I made Jamison help with the garden.
Yes, you're very pretty. You still have to weed the garden.
Time passed, as it does. Mikale, once again, went into labour in the middle of the night. At least I was smart this time and made sure they'd eaten dinner and fed the kittens early.
"Can I get a vacation from labour pains?"
Like last time, Mikale insisted on a hospital delivery.
Mikale: "Hospital! Now!"
Jamison: "I have to be up in 5 hours! I don't want to go to the hospital!"
Now, originally, Mikale was due on Andrew's birthday. Poor Andrew had already had one birthday interrupted by Jamison's failure to use a condom, so I took pity on him and pushed it back a week. A baby could potentially ruin his birthday, but not as much as daddy going into labour would.
A babysitter made sure Andrew and Bryce got to bed and I plopped a bassinet into the master bedroom. After what seemed like forever, Charlotte and David were welcomed to the simworld.
Yes, twins. My first natural** twins.
I'm really starting to worry about these Keylar men. Rhys likes getting his butt kicked, and Ianto had the exact same blissful look on his face after he gave birth to twins.
Endorphins, the sim drug of choice.
I let Jamison and Mikale have a little quality time with their new additions, then sent everyone to bed (after I'd added a 4th crib, of course... *sigh*).
Synchronized snuggling, go.
By morning, the endorphins had worn off, and Mikale finally realised he'd given birth to a ghost.
At which point, all 4 kittens started howling for breakfast. Needless to say, Jamison was late to work.
*Ianto is a cat. Christopher is an elfthing. I call all of their children and grandchildren kittens. Don't judge me.
**Ianto has the fertility treatment reward, because he's a cat, which increases the odds of multiple births. Mikale was a single birth, so I didn't give him the reward.
