So, I always feel I'm going to jinx swimming by talking about it when it's going on, but whatever, dude. Let's talk FINA.

I am so ashamed I haven't posted those yet. I totally suck, dude. I just want the damn story to be as good as it can be, and I swear, I will have it out before August ends. (I don't regret getting involved with the comm, but goddamn if some of the stories I've had to look at before accepting haven't given me intense brain damage. Blargh.) I was briefly following AI fandom from last season, but I slacked off. I love Adam Lambert, and I've read some awesome stuff, but for some reason I just haven't really bothered to follow it or gotten into it on this round.

Ryan Lochte is like Pieter van den Hoogenband for me, in that while I think he's a fine looking guy, I don't necessarily agree with fandom that he is ADONIS COME TO EARTH, and so I have a knee-jerk reaction. Also, some of those stories-- yeah, you get the idea.

I dug out an old unfinished story I had on this premise, basically. I think I yakked about it to chickpea down below. Though I can't decide if Thorpe's reaction to photos of Biedermann sexing would be "TRAITOR, STOP THAT," or if he'd be all, "Damn, that brings back memories."

Actually, of all the photos so far, I think this one delights me for odd reasons. Michael looks way too thrilled to be riding bitch on Massimiliano Rosolino's bike. Rosolino's smile sort of wavers between being pimptastic and vaguely unnerved by Michael.

I'd love to hear you covering swimming. It would be glorious. "Yeah, they're swimming... that guy's going pretty fast... I think he's from England. Maybe Russia. They all kind of like alike."

I have gotten to the point where I just kind of make sure that posts are formatted appropriately, don't contain horse porn, and move on. On the same token, you can bow out at any time. It's slow now, and I probably need to get more involved before Winter Olympics sneak up and take me up the ass.

There is this amazing (and I'm being totally serious here) American-Idol-contestants-in-a-zombie-attack fic that, swear on hot papal action, made me think of you the second I saw it.

Astolat, right? I read her Cook and Archuleta stuff before. She's one of the writers I want to be when I grow up. Man, I do love Adam Lambert, I wonder why I just haven't gotten motivated into reading anything about him. I guess because Kris Allen doesn't do much for me. Cute guy, seems like a sweetheart, but just never pinged me for anything.

astolat all the way, man. I totally said the same thing about her and a couple of other AI writers the other day - I wanna be them when I grow up. I have some good shit in my miscellaneous fic recs in my memories if you decide you ever wanna hit it.
