Our love is like the border between Greece and Albania

It's Good Friday, with properly greyish-cloudy Good Friday weather. Also, I'm back from Orlando.

Sadly, a fairly hijink-free recap )

work, travel logs, music post

Though actually, it's more comparable to trying to bang my mistress while keeping my wife from knowing.

Okay, you WIN at comparisons. Also, *hug*. I hope your trip didn't stress you out too much, though I admit I was grinning all the way through your descriptions.

Also, thank you for the music. ♥

All my life events can be reduced to sitcom-style sexual hijinks analogies, really. Honestly, I don't know if I should be proud or ashamed or what. Thanks! It wasn't too stressful of a trip-- it lacked some of the weirder stuff, which while less interesting to recap, is probably better for my pace of mind, overall.

Good, I hope you like the music!

It takes a special talent to recount them like this, though. XD I'm glad it wasn't too taxing-lord knows business trips aren't funny. *huggle*

I might need to get used to one or two, but I really liked Got you where I want you and Everyone is Someone's. The last one, especially, is just a very cool idea that ends up working very well.

I like to try and make people laugh about these work things; it makes it a lot easier when the work turns totally annoying or stressful. I kind of like going on business trips because it breaks up the routine, but yeah, it totally depends on what kind of trip it can be.

Hooray! Everyone is Someone's is another one that I got off Twig, who is my main music pusher. It's kind of unearthly, and the first time I heard it on the band's Myspace, I knew I had to have it.

I can't decide whether the next music post theme should be "Music that either refers to or should be listen to on trains" or "Music that sounds upbeat but has opposite lyrics."

*nodnod* Yeah, I understand that. I'm not sure I could do the same thing, so I really admire you for that. And yeah, that's true, too.

I always love getting new recs for songs or bands to listen to, because I'm continually looking for new music. Radio is really pretty samey here in that they only play a very limited selection of certain types of music, and I like listening to various things that aren't necessarily "top of the charts" or something.

Wow, that sounds awesome. There's one song from the Blues Brothers 2000 soundtrack that is a total train song for me. I always start off train journeys with it, for no particular reason. XD

Well, it helps that I do like my job most of the time. It's just certain times get a bit more... trying.

Awesome! I'll have to do a couple more posts for your benefit. We've got some okay radio stations here, though more of them are falling to that top of the charts pop crap, which is disheartening. Thank God for the mix CD.

Ooh? Tell me which one, I am curious. That's one vote for the train theme, I guess.

That is definitely a bonus. I can only hope to find something I love doing, too.

LOL Awww. Just do them at your leisure. I'm patient. XD Yeah, I imagine, America being America, they have... more room. XD We have... a couple of radio stations. The first two of the country-wide ones are devoted to commentary and classical, the third plays pop and rock music. Then there are a number of local stations, but they all sound like the third one, or they play really kitschy folk music I love country, but most of these here are just painful.

Oh, I'm good with whatever. XD I just thought of it because you mentioned trains... let's see. It was by Blues Traveler... ah there! Blues Traveler - Maybe I'm Wrong. Edit: Forgot to say, if you like it and want to have it, I can rip it.

I lucked out. But, I think half the time, how much you enjoy the job is directly related to the people you work with, so that's something to keep in mind.

Hee! I have, like, all this fanfic I'm meant to be finishing, so maybe I'll try to shove some of those out before another music post. It's just been an insanely busy year so far, which kind of sucks. Can you listen to any radio stations or free music stations online?

Oooh, I like that song. Though, since it's Blues Brothers, it makes me think more of a roadtrip in a car rather than by train. No worries, I can rip it off the youtube site without any hassle.
