too much to do....
So I have a little less than 3 weeks before I move to my new apartment. However, one of those weeks I am going to be gone to Indiana for work (like I was last summer). Hopefully the bridges won't be like this one:
I may be gone for less than a week but we don't even know how many bridges I have to survey yet and I leave on Sunday. Oops.
Tuesday is the Austin Genealogical Society's indoor picnic and I (perhaps stupidly) signed up for half a table for "show and tell." I have a couple of pages laid out in Word and put into PDF to print at work. I have 2 more to do, I think, and I am going to put them all on some posterboard. Then I think I will show one of my binders of stuff and perhaps a couple of my interesting photographs (tintypes, daguerreotypes (damn, I almost spelled that right on the first try!), etc.), and maybe also take my copies of the NGS quarterly and give them away. I can't imagine that I am going to pay money to sell them on Ebay and at least they would be going to a good group of people. Just because *I* paid for them....
In July I get to be part of a panel for the AGS's July meeting on organization of genealogical materials. This could be very interesting. We get together on Saturday to discuss.
The apartment is probably 3/5 of the way packed. My dining room is overwhelmed by boxes and I can't get to the table, but then again, that's kind of normal. The living room has been taken over by empty boxes, but I think that most of the stuff has to wait until the weekend I get back from Indiana and my last week in the apartment. I am so excited though! New place, more room, less rent. Can't beat it with a stick.
Got a tad bit sunburned yesterday swimming with moony, warezdude, and iciacyrus. If you want to see some good pictures of everyone else, but some bad ones of me, go see moony.
Other than that, not much is going on. Have cleaned out the cable DVR so that I have only 2 programs on it! Weeeee!!!!!!! And that is my progress for today.
This week, Boss Man is not at the office, so JEANS all week!!!! WEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
