Gee, I feel just like the new guy going to RealBad and getting lots of attention, some from people I already know, other from guys I've seen around town, and even getting it from hot bears I've never met, all putting their hands down my pants and coyly asking to be my friend. Do I just willy-nilly accept all requests? What are suggested rules to

hehee ;) There's no rule, handsome. You just go with what's comfortable. I friend people for different reasons... if I think they have a cool journal, or a unique writing style that interests me, if we have something in common that's pretty significant, if they're introduced as a someone I should know, a friend's partner, or hell, if I just think they're really HOT and I want to know them better!

Don't feel like you HAVE to friend someone just b/c they friended you. I'd say read the journals of those that friend you, or those that respond to your posts, and if you like what they have to say, friend 'em. If not, then don't. The thing I like about my 'friends' page is that I can get a snapshot of the events in my friends' lives at a glance.

HA!! Somehow I doubt that would ever be the case, handsome man ;) But there are many other adjectives that I'd use to describe you: sexy, intelligent, borgy (hehe), admirable, honorable, and then there's always the all-encompassing "WOOF!". Course, I don't know these 'first hand' yet, but I've done my homework, and from all I can tell, you're definitely a QUALITY man, inside and out. It's going to be a true pleasure getting to know you :)

LJ's additional social component is useful encouragement for posting, but will influence what you post -- it's more like you're talking to people you know than strangers just dropping in.
