(no subject)
Nothing exciting to update about. Both Carleigh and I have been sick this week. I thought Carleigh had a stomach virus, but it turns out that we both have strep.
Work has been very busy, with the doctors trying to each take vacation time. Everyone wants to get their children in for bask to school physicals. Carleighs school starts August 16 and she is very excited to go back. I am still happy with my decision to keep her in the 3rd grade of another year. I haven't had much time to work with her on her reading, because of the late hours I have been working. She is seeing a counselor two times a week and seems to be doing a lot better with her confidence.
Mike and I are doing well, I haven't see him this weekend. He has his children and I didn't want to infect them with strep. He has been wonderful to both Carleigh and I, though she still is jealous sometimes.
Carleigh hasn't seen her father in a couple of weeks. I have seen him and his girlfriend occasionally on the street. It doesn't bother me as much as it use to. I just wish he would make more time for Carleigh. He is missing so much of her life. She never asks about him anymore. And seems to not care one way or the other, if she sees him.
