Sitting in someone else's car, listening to someone else's music, I am always left wondering.... why is it that people think my music is so crappy? Not to say it's "MY" music, but the music that I listen to.
It's not stuff you hear everyday on the radio, duh, why do you think I like it? I don't care much for the music that most radio stations play all the time around here (Other than AC/DC at 8 of course)
Music needs a strong backbeat, that is why I like heavy drum & bass music... something I can move along to or bob my head to at least.
IE:
Jay Z - La La La (Excuse Me Miss Again)
Mobb Deep - Real Gangstas
Ciara - My Goodies
Mase - Breathe, Strech, Shake
Petey Pablo & Rasheeda - Vibrate
Joe Buddens - Fire, Pump it Up
Snoop & Pharell - Drop it Like it's Hot (Seriously, have you heard a better beat come out lately? Nope...)
Xzibit - Hey now, X, Multiply, and Get Your Walk On
"Oh but music needs good lyrics, to tell a story" Ok, then we look elsewhere... some of the previous list do have good lyrics, while they may not tell a story, or one people want to hear. So, onto a different set of tunes.
IE:
Metallica - One, Nothing Else Matters
Motley Crue - Don't Go Away Mad, Same Ol Situation,
Rammstein - Amerika (maybe not so much the song, but what the video trys to portray)
Black Label Society - Counterfit God
Tracy Byrd - Watermelon Crawl
Toby Keith - You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This
Skid Row - 18 & Life
"My music needs to be fun!"
Black Eyed Peas - The Boogie that Be (phunky phun)
Nelly, P. Diddy & Murphy Lee - Shake Ya Tailfeather
Big & Rich - Save a Horse (Seriously, how much more fun does it get?)
Black Eyed Peas - Weekend
Lil Kim - The Jump Off (Gotta love the horn section)
Trick Daddy, Lil John & Twista - Lets Go! (Ozzy Osbourne's Crazy Train never sounded better!)
Ying Yang Twins - Naggin
What more do you want? Really. I'm not going to be caught dead buying symphony tickets for myself, It doesn't suck, but if it's something that a group or someone else wants to do, sure, I'll give it a shot.
Do me a favour, don't tell me the music I listen to sucks, because then you have just made yourself look narrowminded and stupid. Try and enjoy all types of music for what they are. I know I do.
Now go listen to "Real Gangstas" By Mobb Deep, "Party Anthem" By Kid Kut, "Lean Back" By Fat Joe, "Shopping Bags" by De La Soul, or "Living In Exile" By Blood for Blood OR PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING I HAVE LISTED HERE and be quiet.
