Tuesday, Feb 22, 2012. Blah and then some.
Hmmm.....kind of blah today. A vacation would do me good. But my mood is probably weather related, middle of winter blues, and money issues of course. The company that repaired our lake house last summer finally sent us the bill. Our insurance company covered everything but the $1,000.00 deductible, and we had the restoration company do an additionaL $600.00 repairs to the main bathroom and living room that was not due to the water pipe pipe breakage. We will cover it out of our tax refunds. But this year my tax refund was about $1,000.00 less than last year due to my having my partner covered on my medical insurance. Although my employer recognizes domestic partnership it also considers what they pay for my partners coverage as additional income for me. And that was a chuck of money. I thought I would have enough tax refund to pay off a credit card I have, but this isn't the case. And now we have the contractors bill to pay. So I will use the remainder of my money for the credit card pay down, and then do my best to have that card paid in full by the end of this summer. So that's now one of my new goals for this year.
