that the repairs on my lake home are nearly completed nearly 2 weeks late. Seems my closet doors have to be ordered and the contractor said they are $1,000.00. I don't believe that. They are simply wooden, folding, doors. No way could they cost that much money. I think they forgot to order them and this is the excuse. One of the main pieces of our furniture, a huge heavy china cabinet, needs some repair due to the carpet moisture and they won't be on-site to fix it until October 15th, then the contractor said his crew will move it back into place. Good luck to them. It took 2 men over 1 hour just to get it from the driveway to the front door.
Underwent my yearly medical physical yesterday with an EKG on my heart. My physician said everything look good and ordered blood tests for cholesterol and stuff like that. But I had eaten breakfast so I think I will get them taken next week since a 12 hour fast is needed. The only problem mentioned was my weight. Last week I met with my therapist and she suggested, since I have an IPhone, to download: myfitnesspal. So I did and it's pretty neat. Once you set it up, with your age, current weight, etc, (building the profile), it lets you record what you are eating and calorie count by either typing it in yourself, or using the programs "bar scanner", and it will automatically record the eaten product. During the profile you set up how much weight you want to lose, plus how much weight you want to loose per week, and each time you record an eaten food, it subtracts it and gives you the remaining calorie count. So if you use the bar scanner, it will record it and all it's contents, such as calorie, nutrients, etc, and then you select which category to list it in. For example, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack. And if you go over your limit, it provides you with a negative calorie count, which for some reason really impresses me. It also tells you how much weight you can lose in a month, based on your calorie count goals. All in all, a really nifty application for Iphones and it's free.
Requested an increase in my meds, but my insurance company bulked, so she had to call them and request an exemption, which they did, and then they agreed to pay for the additional dosage. It's only been 2 days so I will give it another few weeks to see if my mood improves. But even if it does not improve I do not think I will say anything. She started talking about changing to another medication, but said they have some serious side effects and I did not like that. Of course I know a "pill" is'nt going to fix everything, but all I am looking for is a bigger boost in my overall mood. And of course this could very well be as good as it gets too but I am hopeful this issue will improve with the additional increase in the meds. And it's time to start back to the gym, if for no other reason, then to unwind with some exercise, before I head home. But I have been thinking of maybe getting up an hour earlier and go work out before going to work. There isn't any real reason why I can't do that, other than being lazy. So hopefully tomorrow I can give that theory a try.
