A most FANTABULOUS moment for Greggy!
Wow, today is payday and the weekend is about to be all mine! Just came back from a fantabulous hair cut, and may go walk the canal this afternoon with Chad if he wants to. Going to let my hair grow long, well, longer than it has ever been before. I imagine it will take some time, but I am aiming for this time next year, same as the weight loss, and hope that I look like a completely different person.
Hey, Guess what? That disco song, that I have searched for for 28 years? The one that I could only remember the tempo and no lyrics? Well, the other day I was installing my Dad-In-Law's new XM radio, and when I started programming it I found 5 stations that were "disco" related.
Now I have XM radio in my car, but I never bothered to look at the station list, so I could reprogram the preset buttons.
So as I left his house I found XM station 83, and it is playing disco from the mid 1970's to into the 1990's. So yesterday morning I started up my car and since I left the station at 83, as soon as the car started, I heard that song that has been stuck in my brain for the last 28 years. I was so shocked, so I hit the radio control panel and quickly found the song name: Dancer, and then pushed the button that would show the artist, and it is Gino Soccio. So I went to YouTube.com, and found the song, but it was updated a few times by other groups. So while I still don't have the original 1979 recording, I have the next best thing. So I have been listening to it all day, and I really don't remember any lyrics to it, but the beat (tempo) is still the same.
So now I can start looking for the original 1979 recording, perhaps on Ebay and other Internet sites. Would be fantastic if it ends up in those 130 old disco LP's that I bought from a friend of mine. So I will search threw those boxes tomorrow.
Life is just FANTABULOUS today. My weight loss continues, my new haircut is fabulous, I got paid today, I got the weekend off.
It seems wrong to ask for anything else.......well....until next week!
