large crack in Old South Church

I was in a position to hear this news early Thursday morning, before it was publicized. The person I was driving to work with planned to go last night to investigate the implications for the pipe organ (located next to the cracked wall), and I imagine I'll hear more, depending how dire the situation turns out to be.

Similar damage was caused to Trinity Church, across Copley Square, when the John Hancock skyscraper was built. Both churches are built on landfill.
