Today felt a lot better than yesterday!
It looks like my coming home from Philly sadness is going away.
In the morning Ken and I finished burning my picture CD's, so that was good too.
Then at noon we went to Rice University (probably the best university in Houston).
The buildings and the campus looked really good. Not even UC Berkeley was so nice and well maintained.
Another cool thing were the high tech classrooms with projectors and sound systems and so on. On the outside the university has kind of old style architecture, but on the inside it has internet connections all over and other cool stuff.
We even got on a tour around the university. That was pretty awesome. The tour took us through the Baker Institute on Public Policy. Famous world leaders come here to speak, for example Putin, Colin Powell, Kofi Annan I think, and other people. So yeah I think I'd really like to study intl. relations or political science here if it wasn't for the tuition price of 28000 dollars.
Maybe I could do most of my university degree in DK (where there is no tuition) and then come to Rice and study for like a semester or a year.
Now I wanna check out Århus Universitet and Københavns Universitet to see if they have just as good facilities as Rice. But ok, Rice is a private university, so probably it has a bit cooler stuff than the average. Which of course makes the tuition really high.
Whatever... I still have like one and half year to figure out all this university stuff.
In the evening I just uploaded my Philly pictures to my February-June photo site:
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/fresh_prince_of_bellaire/my_photosI've also finally started writing in my livejournal about the Philly visit (I guess I have convinced my lazy brain to do that now).
So yeah I've started doing all the practical things I need to do before going home. That's only 18 days away now, holy crap!
