My day
I had to get really early up in the morning to go to a community project with the AFS club at the school. The community project was to plant trees at a park in the China town of Houston. Yep, there actually is such a place. The road signs are even in Chinese... just like in San Francisco.
So yeah me and other AFS club people planted trees and moved soil and so on for like 2 hours. Luckily it actually wasn't boring, even though it was insanely warm compared to the time of day.
Sharon (going on exchange in Taiwan next year) and one of her friends gave me a ride home. Now it's the second time I've been in a car when someone below 18 years has driven it and nothing bad has happened... I think I'm slowly getting used to teenage driving.
In the afternoon I went with Sue to some formal wear place to rent a tuxedo for prom.
I have to say that I was completely lost about what looked good and not... so I just kind of chose what I liked and what Sue and the shop assistant liked.
I don't really feel like reminding myself about it, but the price for renting the tux and shoes was 140$. That's frickin expensive, but whatever, the tux looks good.
Ken and Sue went to a play in the evening. So I just chilled out at home and heard really loud music. I don't know why, but I got very hyper and happy. Maybe b/c I'm doing so much all the time... I don't know. But it was nice to experience one of those moments of hyperness.
