WTF is getting into my cat Ista (icon). I was out all afternoon, and when I came back she still hadn't eaten the food I had set out for her: one dish with her prescription kidney diet kibble, and another with one of the varieties of wet food that she likes. At least, she sometimes likes it. And both of these had some of her powdered medicines mixed into them. And she WOULDN'T EAT THEM.
This is nothing really new, but it's getting worse. So far today I have used four capsules of her joint medicine, mixing them into different foods, and she hasn't eaten one of them. How the fuck am I supposed to get it into her?!! I was CRYING in distress!
She was imperiously, insistently demanding something of me, but of course I don't understand Ailurin,* and she doesn't understand English, or any other variety of Anthropin,* to any significant degree.
[Right now it's 12:38 a.m. I wrote most of that around, oh, 5pm?]
* See Diane Duane's Young Wizards series. In that series every species, on Earth at least, has a language of its own, whose name is based on the classical Greek word for the species with the ending -in. The sole exception, of course, is us humans, presumably due to the Babel event.** Mind you, I'm speaking here in-universe, fanficwise; as a linguist, I do not support the fringe theory of monogenesis.
** Which would be valid in-universe, though I don't remember if it's been mentioned. I heard these a long time ago.
Friday, Oct. 25, 9:15 pmI'm having a hard time concentrating on the game I'm playing online with a friend in Massachusetts (Words With Friends v.2, aka Words 2), or anything else. Bitch kitty has been clawing and biting me, without provocation as far as I can tell, and I am furious with her! This time I swatted her HARD, right off the bed, and slammed the door behind her. ... WTF have I been doing wrong, if indeed anything?
