Turtles are too controversial

That's the title of a post on the Talk page of the Wikipedia article Cladistics, about a system of biological classification. I stumbled on it somehow or other, as I --- Ooh, shiny! ... Where was I? Ah yes --- often do, and started reading the Talk page until I gave up. The general idea is clear enough, but there's tons of disagreement that I couldn't follow, not least because of the plethora of specialized terms totally new to me.
