Learning to Die in the Anthropocene: Reflections on the End of a Civilization by
Roy Scranton My rating:
4 of 5 stars A strong book about what it means to be human in the wake of climate change. The author first lays out the problems and why human beings are unwilling and unable to tackle the problem. "We're fucked," in the author's words. If the human race survives, it will be forced to adapt and change in unimaginable ways. The author examines philosophically the problems of living life knowing that not just our individual lives, but our lives as a species are likely to end soon. Provocative, informative, and interesting.
