So the snow didn't amount to anything like they were suspecting. They were last saying four inches; I doubt we even have two. The simple fact is meteorology cannot predict bad weather beyond the next hour. It's still snowing, though. Perhaps they'll prove me wrong.

I'm at work. I'm on the desk this afternoon (thanks to the snow, I'm sure we'll be mobbed) and I'm working on a couple of ongoing projects this morning.

I watched a couple of old blaxploitation movies last night (I've been really into those lately). The first was Black Caesar, a classic of the genre, starring Fred Williamson as a street kid who becomes a big-time gangster.

But the second was the one I really want to talk about. It's called Slaughter's Big Rip-Off and stars Jim Brown as tough-guy Slaughter and (get this) Ed McMahon as the major villain/drug dealer. Yes, that Ed McMahon. The acting and editing are terrible; the plot doesn't make a lot of sense. This movie should be a classic in the bad movie canon.

Fantastic.
