Satty POV
"I am not him anymore.He is gone." I could only stare thunderstruck as he uttered those words with a smirk that was so unfamiliar and frightening on his face that it was almost surreal.Sure, it wasn't him, that much I could see, but he was still in there, right?He couldn't just let himself to be consumed by the Darkness so easily, right?Out of the corner of my eye, I saw my best friend who had tears of disbelief in his eyes.I could relate to him easily in some way.If my brother was like this -not like himself-, I'd be just the same, if not worse.
"J-Jun!.." He whispered, reaching to him very hesitantly as his brother backed away.
"Do not touch me you filthy human!I am not your brother anymore!"
"I will not believe it!" My best friend screamed in what he tried to mask as anger but in reality was fear.Fear of losing his brother.The brother that had been his pillar throughout his hardest times.The fear of losing him just because of that one minute of hesitance."Then I will prove this to you, " With these words, he -Yomi-san- started glowing darkly and shot a dark beam right at me.That was the last thing I saw before everything went black.
"SATTY!!!"
Flashback
3rd POV
It was a calm, average day in the office of Sendai Transport.Everyone was in their own business.Satty, a calm, kind brunette who was the youngest of them all, was looking kind of longingly at a picture he had in one of his hands as the other one absentmindedly played with a lapis lazuli medallion necklace around his neck.It was a photo of a child grinning proudly into the camera with a plushie toy and a woman who was probably his mother who was making a peace sign.Then Satty looked around him to know what his friends were doing.
The first one who caught his eye was Fullface, an older, slightly temperamental man with half-blonde half-black hair which was puffy at the blonde side.He was seemingly reading a report of the recent deliveries they had completed but Satty knew very well that he was not.Because, if Fullface were to read that, he'd be too bored and would try to throw it around like a ball and probably fail miserably, just like last week.
Adjusting his glasses to get a better view, the teen looked around and this time, his eye caught Wan ChenChen, who was very speedily eating something from a bowl, Chinese food probably, Satty assumed, since it was almost the only thing he would eat.The other man had black hair and two thin, long mustache on his mouth and a pair of dark black Chinese eyes.Satty liked him a lot even though ChenChen often didn't really understand what the others were talking about because of the language barrier they had between them.Satty smiled at him when their eyes locked for a short second and (not so) surprisingly, the Chinese smiled back at the teenager.Then they went back to what they were doing.
Satty looked around again with curiosity and his eye caught first Kurihara who was dozing off in front of the closed computer and then fell on Gigaflare -Giga, as Chiba kept calling him, much to the annoyance of the other man-, who was supposedly the oldest of their group of friends this time.He was extremely tall and a brunette like Satty.Though he almost never really showed his hair for he usually wore a frog hat, which Satty found extremely cute -not that he would ever say that to Gigaflare ever again- and he had a calming, mellow air around him that always either calmed Satty down or made him drowsy because of the amount of laziness Gigaflare usually showed.He was almost always late for work and was always sitting around, looking like he was about to fall asleep with an open mouth.Satty snorted quietly at this thought.Because whenever Gigaflare was focusing hard on something -whether it be what they would eat (he was the usual cook out of them.Satty didn't even want to think about eating Chiba's food despite how much he respected and loved his best friend, not that he himself was good at it though.If anything, he was worse.) or figuring out where they were going in a particularly hard delivery session- his mouth would open and sometimes even slime would flow from his mouth.Often Wan ChenChen or Satty himself would awaken him from his concentrated stupor because the other three would be too engrossed in snickering quietly at him.Especially Chiba would usually openly laugh at the tall man and this would end up in a crazy capturing game which afterwards Chiba would complain about either exhaustion or the bruises he received from Gigaflare because of the mocks.Currently, Gigaflare was lazily looking through a newspaper which Satty thought was a miracle since Gigaflare absolutely hated reading something besides his manga, which was usually too creepy for Satty, much to the amusement of the older man.
"It isn't that bad, Satty.It's only bloody a little that's all.Besides, there's a plot in all manga, and this one has more blood since it's a vampire one.But trust me on this one, this one is damn good." He had said to him once.Creeped out, Satty had immediately threw the comic book at the Frog Man, which funnily enough had become a second nickname of his -which surprisingly had come from Satty himself, though at first without his knowledge- besides "Giga".When Gigaflare had learned about the nick -and just whom it had come from- he couldn't help but laugh hard, saying it could have been a lot worse through his laughter.
Speaking of which, Satty couldn't see Chiba anywhere in the room for some reason but he could hear him from the small room where a random guy from the company was arranging the papers and stuff.He looked at there and his eyes widened for a moment because of what Chiba was doing.He was rubbing the poor guy's ass and muttering things at it!Satty blushed immediately and averted his eyes shaking his head and thinking he should already be used to these kinds of craziness in Chiba's attitude.The short teen was sometimes too pervert and gay for his own good.Of course Chiba being gay had never bothered Satty or anyone except for the other workers whom the six of them never even knew the names of for all six of them were gay anyways.Satty chuckled quietly, sometimes Chiba freaked the other workers so much that almost none of them would come into their office lest Chiba should try to harass them or they should catch them in an indecent position or something.Even the ones who were actually daring enough to come in were very reluctant and nervous.
Of course, they weren't usually nervous of him or Wan ChenChen.Because everyone knew that ChenChen either wouldn't understand or would decline them immediately because of his kind of shy and very reserved character and everyone also knew that all of them absolutely adored Satty and he was too young and way too shy for that kind of intimacy.But it was totally different with Chiba, Kurihara and Gigaflare whom they were downright scared of.Because Chiba, as Satty could see from his seat as the older teen rubbed the worker's butt, obviously was the most pervert of their group and Kurihara was scary with the masks he always wore to hide his face -something about a very ugly scar- and Gigaflare seemed to be very unpredictable so they didn't even think of coming close to them if they didn't have to.As for Fullface, he usually grumbled at the men who came in because of their stupidity of not getting close to any of them.The only thing that was even keeping this group in this place was their hardworking, tireless look of their job.
Satty was thinking of these things when a giant explosion shook the whole building and made everyone fall out of their seats.
