Now that they've premiered...

The good:
  • How could you not love Maura Tierney?! I really liked The Whole Truth. I loved that it showed both sides: the DA and the defense lawyers strategy. And it hung the question over the entire episode: is this the whole truth? This show is a keeper :)
  • It's no secret that I was watching No Ordinary Family for Julie Benz. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did though. One reason being I've never really been a fan of Michael Chiklis. However, I like seeing him in this type of role. Autumn Reeser and my gawd Christina Chang w/a badge and a gun certainly help in the eye candy department. But, what I'm liking is the family dynamic and seeing how they deal with these newly inherited powers. I want to see how they all mesh and their lives change... It's the pscyh and human behavior lover in me ;-)
The okay:
  • Chase was okay. I like Kelli Giddish. And I love Rose Rollins. I want to like this show, but they need some serious story and personality in these Marshals ASAP for me to be able to keep watching. So yes, it remains on the DVR line-up for now.
  • Undercovers is kinda silly and cheesy. However, it will probably remain on my DVR list simply for that fact. Oh and it also helps that the leads are people of color and there is a serious lack of that on tv.
  • Confession time: Blue Bloods... Bridget Moynahan was the deciding factor in checking out this show, which makes me wish she were the focus of the show and not Donnie Wahlberg, but the show is about the cops and not the lawyer. I think Blue Bloods has the potential to be a good show if it were to focus more on how the family of cops deals with that than being about the case of the week... There are far too many case of the week shows on tv. And yes, I'm guilty of watching my share of them, which is why I'm looking for something new/different.
The bad:
  • So, I couldn't make it through My Generation. I don't know if it was they manner in which the story was told or the fact that it was so cliched... or quite possibly both. I guess it doesn't matter since it was canceled anyways.
  • Now Law & Order: LA I was able to watch the whole episode. It didn't impress me, but it didn't bore me either. It's just another Law & Order with a so-so cast... Regardless it didn't make the DVR cut.
So what all did you watch? What did you think? What did you love? What did you hate?
