finally experienced something totally ny

my halloween was pretty awesome. it was my third to last day and everyone dressed up so it was like a party all day anyway. then i went to the village parade in manhattan and i have to say it was an amazing experience. i would recommend it to anyone. in fact i want an apt in the west village on 6th ave just so i can view the parade from my window. {maybe when i am a little richer} they had giant skeleton puppets, 6'5" drag queens, dead jugglers on stilts, giant snakes, and etc. the parade was begun by a giant ball being tossed into the audience. it scared the crap out of me. i was by myself for a lot of it but denise miraculously managed to push her way to the front. i have some pics if you follow the link below but most of the pics are terrible because i was trying to take them while being smooshed in between a bunch of ghetto assholes and while everything was moving. it was so theatrical, but a lot less scantily clad people than i expected. the jazz music was amazing. i had a front row spot so i was quite lucky. but after standing for 2 1/2 hours in my witch shoes i was beat!

also there are pics from my work halloween...
