need to get off of my lazy side and onto my active side..

internship is going well, working 40 hours a week (once i have a full week that is), finishing up my second animation cycle/beginning my next one...carpooling with a guy who lives near me to work, which eliminates my city bus transit time of 1hr30min (on a good day)...

just beat marvel ultimate alliance on the ps3 with some friends for like 10 hours

saw horton hears a who...really liked it actually...most of the people i knew that saw it complained about the enormous number of present day references/jokes that were in it, but I didn't think there were that many..only enough to ground it a bit in today's world, but not over exceeding it.
while i admit there were a couple rough cuts and storylines that felt unexplored or unfinished the overall movie had a great excitement and feeling that kept up without growing tiring, some excellent animation, great jokes, and I thought that they pulled off an amazing job of translating the 'suess' style into 3d...which can be a problem for any 2d drawing made 3d let alone such a great style as Dr. Suess. (plus i really hated the live action dr. suess movies that were made a few years ago) There are 2 2d sequences that sorta just jump into the movie...which entered and left almost as quickly. One is a short bit in a 2d animated style of the suess while the other is an anime spoof...these were both done well and actually fun/funny...and in essence, really brave of the company to throw unhindered 2d sequences into what is promoted as a 3d animated film...really risky to some peoples minds (like investors or pennypushers)
