All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth...

Dec 02, 2010 00:40

This post is purely for my brother, as I promised him that I would provide him with a Christmas wish list. Of course, I appreciate love and sentiment and intention way more than any object you can gift, but if you feel the need to express your love/sentiment/intention in the form of an object... here are some springboard ideas:

- SOCKS. Oh my God, I need socks. I already told my sister that these Journeyz black athletic socks are my fave, but hell, I could always use more. These no-show socks also look good for flats.

- FLAT SHOES. I need new flats, as my newest pair is about a year old and I wear flats all the time. I am a women's size 9.5, and can wear a 10 if they don't have half sizes. Some examples from Urban Outfitters, Kohl's, and this place called Toast that I never heard of before.

- A FULL OR QUEEN SIZED AEROBED. Because mine got lost in the shuffle a few years back, and that saddens me greatly. A full or queen sized one, as that can fit two people. There are some expensive ones out there, and some cheaper ones... I honestly don't know the difference nor do I care, so the less expensive ones (like less than $100) are grand in my eyes. :)

- LONG SLEEVE SHIRTS, SWEATERS, FLEECES, HOODIES, ETC. I am incapable of buying my own winter clothes. Also, my office's thermostat is always set to "Arctic tundra." I am a women's L or XL depending on the store (L for places like Old Navy/Gap, definitely XL for places like Delia's, Express). Any type of long-sleeve clothing, whether business casual or athletic, is appreciated, as I do run outside.

- A RUTGERS HOODIE. Because I graduated from there but don't own one. Wah.

- A CELL PHONE COVER. Because I still haven't gotten a condom for this dratted Samsung Moment, and continue to drop it, which makes my phone slower than it already is.

- THIS RING FROM URBAN OUTFITTERS. Every time I walk into this store (which is often), I really want this ring, but I'm too cheap to buy myself a $20 ring. (And hey, now it's on sale! Wtf.)

- STUFF I CAN USE TO BAKE (AND MAYBE COOK). I like to bake, so any cutesy or useful things to help me bake are definite positive ideas. I am also trying to stretch my repertoire into actual cooking, so I can feed myself and not get diabetes. Things I don't have are nice measuring cups, a mini-muffin pan... or if you're trying to get really fancy, an immersion blender (so I can make butternut squash soup). I also have a cookbook wish list on Amazon.

- SCARVES, HATS, & GLOVES. Once again, I am incapable of buying my own winter clothing. I'd like heat to not escape from the top of my head and fingertips, so hats and gloves are useful for that. I like most kinds except for the fleece type ones, as their fuzziness can be much. I cannot lie, and will admit I am a bit pickier with my scarves. I prefer them thin or longer or knit or chic kinds. [Basically, I'm crazy, and I'm sure I'll love any scarf that's thrown my way. ;-)]

GIFT CARDS. You just can't go wrong with these. H&M, Express, Old Navy, Ann Taylor Loft, Kohl's, Target.

Okay, James, you can't complain that I didn't make a list. Because I did. WITH LINKS, too. Yay!

Maybe one day soon I will post an entry of actual substance. I miss LiveJournal.
