Ah, I thought I saw--

I found a notebook, at least. I feel better writing with a pen than with this keyboard, honestly.

Nice to be able to keep some private thoughts that way.

I definitely don't recognize that symbol. And Vincent doesn't either? Or did you not show him yet?

Anyway, it looks like we need to do some research -- but I wouldn't know where to begin. Maybe I should talk to Alessa.

I haven't shown him yet. There's some sort of writing around it, but I can't figure it out.

Do you think she'd know? I mean, I'm not exactly sure on her entire story.

...Well. Alessa was used a few years ago for a ritual, so the Order could give birth to God. It was Alessa's mother's idea -- Dahlia Gillespie. So Alessa was raised in the cult, but I don't think she shares their sentiments, like Vincent.

I trust her. I really do. She's... sort of my daughter.

That sounds terrible. Do you know what type of ritual that was?

Vincent is a decent source of information. Maybe Alessa would be too? I understand that you'd trust her, since I guess you're like the only parent to her.

From what I know, she was being burned alive for the ritual. Her soul split in two. I ended up adopting a half of that soul for my daughter -- I didn't even know that until a few years ago.

Alessa probably would be. And she sure as hell hasn't really had a parent, from what I can tell, considering what Dahlia did to her.

Is she? I guess she might be. Cheryl's older than I figured, too. Blonde to boot.
