what i really, really want
Is there a backward history book? I love news. I love current events. I'm fairly knowledgeable about the Carter, Reagan, Bush I and Clinton years, and I can get into Watergate and Vietnam era. But I've never really cared about all the boring stuff that happened before my parents got married. And now I find myself reading primary documents because I know they're good for me, and I want to learn more without falling asleep. So I think I could get sucked into a book that starts with what's happening now and traces its way back.
