Went to see Waitress with hhbarmaid yesterday afternoon. A minute in, I was insatiable for pie. By the end, I was insatiable for pie and Nathan Fillion.
What a sweet movie. I had some problems with the ending. The way everything worked out was a little too nice. But it's a movie. It's fiction. And the charm of everything that came before made me forgiving. I had a little trouble believing that Earl would drop out of the picture so quickly, but some guys just can't deal when they're challenged, and split.
Keri Russell was adorable. Nathan Fillion was dreamy. Everyone was wonderful.
OMG those pies.
It's such a shame that there'll be no more lovely stories like this from Adrienne Shelly. *sigh*
Does anyone have that song from the film - the one that goes, "Gonna bake a pie, gonna bake a pie..."? I can't find it on iTunes. I couldn't even find the soundtrack at Amazon. I wonder if it exists.

My earrings are real lego pieces. They even snap together.
I see that there are grad schools in CT, RI, and MA that offer a Masters in Library/Informational Sciences. Sweet. Rhode Island might be nice. It's so itty bitty - anywhere I live, I won't be far from the sea. And I'll be close to my aunt and uncle, and not a long drive from NYC... Whee!
