Does anyone have a cap of the UK version of the Deathly Hollows cover? The Bloomsbury website won't open for me, for some reason. Re. the US version: orange, guys? Won't it clash with Half-Blood Prince? Otherwise, I'm okay with it. I'm not really a fan of the artist, but it captures my interest.
ETA: Never mind. I can see it now. I like the US version better, for once. Is that Voldemort clutching the sword and Harry's shoulder? Or Kreacher? Or (hehe) Dobby? At first, I thought it was Ron and wondered why he was wearing white nailpolish. Weird. I prefer the simplicity of the US cover. And I do like the color, even though it's going to look bad next to the previous book.
The adult version of the UK cover is the nicest. I like the color scheme. And it's the locket! Cool.
I'm home injured today. I thought I was all right, but then I sneezed really hard and my back said, "Uh-UH, bitch. Back to bed." Only, I didn't listen. I drove all the way to work and finished my proofreading. Then, seated at my desk, I reached for something that was only about two feet away and was in agony again. So, here I am, back in bed. It's a miserable, grey day, so I'm going to drink lots of tea, swallow lots of Ibuprofen, read my book, get some writing done, and see about seeing a back doctor because this is nuts.
I'm nearly done with The Education of Hyman Kaplan, by Leonard Q. Ross. It's very funny, especially if you've taught English to non-native speakers. Though none of my students ever managed to mangle English as spectacularly as Mr. Kaplan.
