[pern fic] One (Jaxom and Ruth, all ages)
I can't believe it's taken me this long to get to these requests. I'd meant for them to keep me occupied for a good long while, but not a year! And I'm only a little more than half done. Anyway, I had a dream last night, and in that dream there were two titles for this fic. Unfortunately, the less interesting one is the only one I remembered when I awoke this morning! I was going to friends lock this fic, but a couple of months ago, Anne McCaffrey decided that it was all write to post fan fiction set in her universe. Obviously, all characters and gimmicks belong to her, I'm not making money off this, etc.

( A shadow fell across the parapet, causing Jaxom - who was thoroughly soaked with sudsy water - to shiver. The shadow passed in a moment, and Ruth bugled joyfully. )
