airport security is an oxymoron

In addition to flying first class yesterday, I also walked onto the plane with three real boomerangs in my backpack. Obviously the metal detector did not pick them up, and I simply forgot to mention them when asked if I was carrying anything dangerous at the check-in counter. O_o I was carrying three deadly weapons in my backpack on a plane! You'd think they would check for things like that in Australia. Granted I don't think I look like the sort of person who knows how to use a boomerang, but still. I suppose had the plane been hijacked I could have saved the day. If I'd been able to sneak the boomerangs out of my luggage and read up on how to throw them properly. ^__^ I think I should probably check them through tomorrow.

I absolutely hate flying.
