This is for
umbrellas_can, who requested another toy story. I hadn't realized it had been so long since I'd posted one! I had to scrounge around for props, but eventually I found something that would work.
This is mostly safe for General Audiences, though there are Implications, I guess, and there's a little bit of Kirk/McCoy and Spock/Uhura, but it's primarily an adventure story.
There are 24 pictures, most between 100 and 55 KB, I think.
Also, I'll write a tiny ficlet for the first person to correctly name the temple and tell me where one can go to see it.
Once upon a time, the starship Enterprise was out looking for new worlds and new civilizations. While Chekov scanned the system for signs of life, the rest of the crew was hanging out in the rec room.
(I just want to point out that that is a real teddy bear skin rug they're violating there. I got it at the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory. Anyway.)
Suddenly...
"Scanners have detected life on zee planet, Keptin!"
"And what appears to be a temple of some kind!"
Kirk quickly assembled an away team of everyone except Chekov, and they all beamed down.
"Huh," said Sulu. "It looked bigger from the Enterprise.
"We need to explore it," said Jim. "I'll go."
"That's a dumb idea!" shouted McCoy. "Damn it, man, you don't know what's in there!"
"Don't be such a worry-wart, Bones. I'm going in!"
"Hmm, it's kinda tight."
McCoy: *facepalm*
"Ack! Oof! Almost ... there!"
"There, I'm back with the treasure. See, Bones? Nothing terrible happened. There was a Temple Shark, but I don't think it saw me."
"Uh, are you sure about that, Jim?"
"RUN AWAY!!!!"
"I hate you!"
"I know you do!"
"I will save you!"
"I will save you!"
"I will save you!"
"Captain, I shall attempt to mind meld with the Temple Shark, to find out what it wants."
"I want a mate. I am lonely."
"Here is a mate for you. Now you can propagate your species."
*after the happy!shark sex*
"Thank you, my friends! Now we will take you home. Hop aboard!"
"Jim, is there a reason we're not beaming?"
"Flying space sharks, Bones!"
"I hate you."
"I know you do."
The End.
