Given what I've read, I think I'm going to skip this past weekend's episode of "Game of Thrones."
___
I got four remixes for Remix Madness! Makes me wish I had the time to write more than two (and I still think you should be able to guess which two I wrote pretty easily) but I'm still working on other projects.
Anyway, this is what I got, and I love them all:
Observations (the Scene From the Past Remix) (100 words) by Anonymous
Fandom:
X-Men: First Class (2011)Rating: General Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Raven (X Men), Charles Xavier
Summary:
Raven's first few weeks at the mansion.
(In the original, Raven reflected on Alex's first few days at the mansion, and how he reminded her of her younger self. I love that the remixer went with Charles's POV. I think it works perfectly.)
Hold On To Me (Like a Shadow or a Friend Remix) (675 words) by Anonymous
Fandom:
X-Men: First Class (2011)Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Alex/Darwin
Summary:
Darwin's alive, and it's a reality that Alex can't let go of.
(!!!!! MY BOYS. Darwin comes back and Alex is all guilt-stricken and still smitten. Which is just how I like him. *g*)
Purple Lace (Remix of "Even After All These Years") (1306 words) by Anonymous
Fandom:
Harry Potter - FandomRating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Minerva McGonagall/Alastor Moody
Summary:
After Alastor Moody invites Minerva McGonagall to "take inventory," he takes one of his own.
(The original is one of my favorite HP fics, and I love what the remixer did with Moody's POV: he's wary and wry and he understands Minerva so well. *sigh* Oh, Alastor. Yes, it appears I still have a thing for him.)
the way that light attaches to a girl (maybe this year remix) (1071 words) by Anonymous
Fandom:
GleeRating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Santana Lopez/Brittany S. Pierce
Summary:
The girl she loves is crumbling like a sandcastle and Brittany can't find the words to say that she'll be the waves washing over Santana as long as she needs.
(In the original, Santana reacts to her grandmother kicking her out. In the remix, Brittany tries to pick up the pieces. I love the way the remixer wrote Brittany's POV. She's no genius, but she understands Santana, which is no easy thing sometimes. The imagery is also lovely.)
