I'm having a pretty good day. Didn't start out that way, but it's gotten progressively better. My library display is being appreciated. The CD player in my car came back to life. I finally found the Saint Cloud Bakery, despite Google Map's best efforts to thwart me. (Holy shit, Google Maps. It wasn't anywhere near where you said it was! I only found it at all because I had a sudden hunch.) Because it was my first time there, they gave me a free fresh-out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookie, and then I bought some date-filled cookies and a miniature strawberry-rhubarb pie.
Then I came home and read

I don't actively ship Scotty/Kirk, but I read it when it crosses my path, and I have to say ... if I could imagine the perfect Scotty/Kirk story, it would go something like this. Scotty is a BAMF, and innovative, and funny, and sweet, and Kirk knows it. *happy sigh*
