Oh, Microsoft Word. The word I just typed is in your dictionary. Don't tell me you don't recognize it! You recognize the past tense. Wtf. Grr.

Anyway, I have 900+ words of my WNW story written, and I should finish it tomorrow, with plenty of time to edit. Yay! I hope my recipient likes it. I've never written these characters before.

Yuletide authors have been revealed. I wrote two stories, one for The Prydain Chronicles and one for The Princess and the Frog (I told you my year-end stories were princess-heavy - and there's one more). This is the second year in a row I've been assigned a Prydain story, and while I love the series madly and am always happy to write it, I think I won't make the offer next year. When I get a fandom with which I'm less familiar, I tend to start planning and writing well in advance. Which generally means more hair-tearing in early November and less in mid-December. When I'm working with source material I know really well, it's the reverse. Confidence in early November, hair-tearing in mid-December.

So, yeah. I think it would probably also help if I didn't have other assignments eating my brain. (I'm still kind of boggled by how difficult my space-wrapped story was to write. And I'm thrilled beyond words that people actually read it and liked it.)

But I am happy with what I wrote this year, and my recipients seem to be as well, so that's good!

I stuff to do tonight, and stuff to do tomorrow morning. Then I think I might try to get one or two more fandom_stocking stories written. I have four, plus I made two sets of icons for people.

Oh! Since I can't go biking because of the snow - and the fact that it's like -10 degrees outside - I bought a coupon for thirty days of access to one of my local gyms. I don't know that I'll get there every day, but I'll try. The days I'm not working, anyway. I miss working out.

I fixed the toy Sophie tore into the other day. I hope that wasn't a dumb idea.

I also put Lloyd on a diet. He isn't too happy about that.
